Career progress: 1986 – 1989 Deloitte & Touche, audit senior. Working on a
range of multinational and Irish audit clients; 1990 – 1991 Bank of Ireland
Lifetime, financial reporting accountant, responsible for statutory reporting
and audit at the BOI subsidiary; 1992-1993 Credit Card Software International,
finance manager, responsible for finance function; 1993- 2000 Pharmacia Ireland,
financial controller with responsibility for finance & distribution. In
particular lead the functions through four mergers; 2000 – 2003 Pharmacia
Ireland, finance director. Part of the team that delivered the best growth of
any pharma over that period in the Irish market; 2004 – Apr 2005 ESB
International, commercial manager. Responsible for bid and contract review and
international tax planning on a number of overseas assignments; Apr 2005 – to
date director of finance, Dublin Docklands Development Authority.
Special projects: At Pharmacia part of team working on pan European IT platforms
& distribution solutions.

Married to Ciara. Two children – Ruairi aged 7 and Ailbhe aged 5.

Interests: Good restaurants, music, following Arsenal FC.

Robert Eichinger. It changed the way I work and takes you from the theoretical
to the practical – essential reading. Non-business: Anything by Joe
O’Connor, short stories by Woody Allen.
