An tUasail Peadar Ó Ceallaigh Peter Kelly, Educationalist
Peadar Ó Ceallaigh is the son of Mary O'Higgins and Vincent Kelly and was born in Dublin in 1965 to Vincent Kelly and Mary O'Higgins. He received his secondary education with the Christian Brothers at Drimnagh Castle in Dublin before going to Trinity College where he received an honours BA in Irish and later he obtained a Higher Diploma in Education and a Graduate Diploma in Catechetics. Peadar initially taught at Cabinteely Community School before moving to Coláiste Éanna in Ballyroan, Co. Dublin. With his wife Elaine Mullins he has produced a number of highly regarded resources for the teaching of the Irish language in second-level schools inlcuding Draíocht 1 and Draíocht 2. Both have extensive experience of teaching at Junior and Leaving Cert. levels and have been correcting exams for many years.Peadar and Elaine live in Portmarkcnock, Co. Dublin with their three children.
