An tUasail Siobhán O'Raghallaigh Siobhán O'Reilly, Educationalist
Siobhán O'Reilly is the daughter of Carmel Ní hUigín and Terry O'Reilly. She was educated at St.Mary's Domincan School on the Navan Road in Dublin and at Trinity College Dublin where she obtained an honours BA in European Studies and a H. Dip. in Education. After an initial period as a teacher in second-level schooling, Siobhán moved in 2000 into the informal education sector where she worked as a youth development co-ordinator with Fóroige and Tallaght Youth Services. In this role she pioneered a number of projects aimed at supporting young people in the Killinarden area to access educational opportunities in and out of school. In 2003 Siobhán moved to Ballyfermot Partnership in Dublin as Education Co-ordinator where she developed projects aimed at bringing formal and informal education providers together. She is now Director of FamilyScope an NGO which provides out of school support for young people and their families in the Ballyfermot area. She is active in the O'Higgins Clan in her role as administrator of an international DNA project. Siobhán lives with her husband Andy Jackson at their home in Ashbourne, Co. Meath.
