Suzanne Ó hUigín Údar

Suzanne Higgins, Author

logoSuzanne Higgins was born and raised in Sligo where she grew up with her two brothers and one sister.  Her first radio job was with Radio Sligo, which gave her a taste for broadcasting. She moved to Dublin to read French and Spanish in Trinity College but her main interest remained in broadcasting.  Suzanne started to work in the smaller radio stations and eventually got her first National radio show at the age of twenty three.  She worked in radio and television broadcasting for a total of fifteen years, but ‘retired from public life’ at thirty-one to enjoy her very young and rapidly growing family.

Unable to sit still for too long, while pregnant with her third child, Suzanne started writing The Power Of A Woman.  It reached number two in the Irish Times Bestsellers list.  Her second novel, The Woman He Loves got to number one in just seven days.  Her third novel - The Will To Win was also a best seller in Ireland and is due for publication in Germany next year.  She is currently working on her fourth novel. She believes her greatest achievement to date is “her four beautiful daughters”.Her greatest regret …. She refuses to dwell on anything negative. Her motto in life is “Follow your dreams.” Suzanne lives in South County Dublin with her husband and four daughters.
